Replace cheap cistern fixtures with better quality fittings.
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought new toilet and found it had some generic Chinese cistern fittings. Have decided to replace flush valve with this one as I feel it is more reliable. In addition I feel more comfortable (should it go wrong) I can readily procure fluudmaster parts easily rather than try to source some obscure Chinese thing. I will be buying another to keep as backup for spares / repair.
I will also be replacing some of the other default cistern fixtures such as the steel coupling bolts which will only rust with stainless steel. Also the default Chinese inlet valve with a fluid master equivalent.
These simple and inexpensive replacements will drastically improve the life , reliability and maintainability of my toilet. All I got to do now is wait six weeks for the plumber.!!!
