Good washer, bit cheaply finished
Well, the washer was as expected given the reviews and a couple of YouTube videos i watched. We've run a few washes through and it works and washes well. Many reviews note the hoses as being rubbish - they are! I already before it arrived had a replacement for the filler hose. I'll replace the drain hose when i get a chance with a better quality and longer one.
The plastic mouldings are also very flimsy, their durability may not be too good, time will tell. I'm surprised with this aspect of the design as you can purchase a full size metal auto machine for £20 more if you shop around.
But we didn't want an auto machine as we live off grid and they use a massive amount of electricity. This machine allows us to run it completely off our solar/wind battery bank on a 1500 watt inverter (it wouldn't quite run properly on our smaller 600 watt peak load inverter).
Time will tell on the durability of the machine, but it looks easy enough to fix if you're handy with diy.
One thing to note on several reviews i read - the pump not working on recieving the machine - this is probably user error rather than the machine - on first use, you need to put the drain hose into a low down receptacle to allow it to prime with water, then put into sink. Doesn't mention this in the instructions.
Talking about instructions- they're pretty useless - we went to YouTube for good info.
I'll update this review in a few months with any reliability issues or observations. Our machine will get heavy use being a family of four!
