Sturdy with smooth action, and great value.
This is a very sturdy copy stand. I like the fact that the column slopes forward slightly allowing you to photograph larger originals on the baseboard. The fact that the camera support, which moves up and down the column, is made of metal, makes it more accurate and less likely to move than a plastic one. The metal quick release, which attaches to your camera, also works very well and does not move when holding the camera to the support. I use this copy stand for copying old prints and engravings, some that are too big to scan or are creased and have uneven surfaces. I can't see any problems with this item.

Small and works perfectly.
I use my Nikon D3400 camera with a copy stand and lights to copy old prints and photographs. The ML-L3 IR Wireless Remote Control is perfect for this situation where you might be using slow shutter speeds. It saves me having to set the 2 second remote control in my camera every time I take a shot, which is time consuming and uses battery power. It's very easy to set up and use.
