Elegant design and unique play, breathes new life into wargaming the battle of Gettysburg
One of only a handful of Simmons-designed games, it allows players to think about the battle of Gettysburg in an historically correct but less constrained way. The same forces are involved, but are not locked into the same arrival times or locations, allowing for excellent "what if?" examples and replay.

Disappointing!
Hugely disappointing and largely amateurish effort. Superficial summary in about 30 font on unnumbered 8.5x11" pages - more a "large format" pamphlet than a book. It looks like a self-printing title for the visually impaired. The upper half of most pages were warped as if it had been wet at some point. Surely there are better overviews of the War of the Spanish Succession out there?!

Napoleonic Period "Bible" of Military Hisotry
This book is the definitive guide for wargaming the Napoleonic period. There is broad hisotrical context, but this book is not for the general reader or casual historian...this tome is a detailed, end-to-end resource covering campaigns, orders of battle, strategies and tactics, and "After Action Reports" of every major, and most minor, battles.
