Brilliant first album from a band which then lost their way a bit

My main motive for buying this was a nod of nostalgia to my youth! I was an enormous fan of Jethro Tull when I was about 16 and This was was one of the first albums I ever bought. Though I bought several later Tull albums, none came close to the enjoyment I got from this. What I like most - the music obviously!! The more bluesy/jazz influenced tracks are the best one, possibly the influence of Mick Abrahams, who left the band after this album was released. What do I dislike - not the fault of this album specifically, but the practice of adding bonus tracks to CDs which weren't on the original vinyl pressing drives me absolutely mad!! I would hope I don't have to buy the product again, but if I had to, of course I would.

Fault on the CD player

This is a very attractive and well-designed mini stereo, with lots of features and a great sound. The major drawback was a fault on the CD player, which stopped about 2 minutes into each track, as though the pause button had been pressed. For that reason, I had to return the product, but I have subsequently acquired an identical item, which works fantastically well and I am thoroughly pleased with it.

TRULY GREAT ALBUM

This is one the great rock albums, with some absolute classic tracks, such as "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad", "For Crying Out Loud" and the title track. Meatloaf and a tight band combine to produce the best from Jim Steinman's songs
