Good, inexpensive cover
I bought this because my convertible top is a little leaky and I wanted better weather protection while it's parked. I usually only drive my Miata with the top down when the weather is nice, but on Summer days I was worried about pop up thunderstorms. This is a perfect way to protect my parked car with a leaky top, at a fraction of the cost of getting my top replaced.
The fit is very well, and construction seems pretty sturdy. It takes a minute or two to figure how to fit it, but once you do, it is easy, and seems quite secure. I had my car in the garage the past few weeks, so I can't comment on how well it stands up to rain, but I trust it more than my top.

For car, probably better to get a mobile unit.
1 of 1 found this helpful Weather radio is good. CB has very limited range with the antenna that comes with it. I haven't purchased a separate antenna to use in the car yet - will do so sometime in the near future to see if range improves. Also, depending on where your 12V power is, the car adapter cord is a tad short if you're using the CB from the driver's seat. Maybe have to stretch out the coiled power cord a bit more. I haven't used as a portable CB/radio yet, so can't comment on the battery pack life.
