First Class Moving-Abroad Debut Autobiography
I first read this book when it was first published and it's an entertaining and engaging read. One of my recommended reads. I purchased the book again recently because it was missing from my bookshelf (and I retain a small trove of favourite books which I will lend out, then forget who had it).
As you might imagine, I found the original copy before even the new one arrived! However, it is just as worth having two copies, knowing me!

Lovely, lovely story about love and music and vinyl records and a shopkeeper
I've only read two Rachel Joyce novels so far -- The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry and The Music Shop. Both are very engaging. There's a lot to like about both.
I love the author's description of real life circumstances and behaviours and views. The detail she puts into seemingly simple things is first class for me.
The question I have for you, if you read this, is "Which is your favourite character?" For me, it's a really difficult choice because they are all great but Maud, I think, might just be my favourite. I don't remember if we are told she's from Wales but in my mind, along with the other features we read, she has a (potentially brutal?) south Wales accent!
Recommended. Hopefully will make you laugh out loud and bring tears to your eyes. Did me. More than once.

My Favourite Children's Nighttime Rhyme
William And The Night Train is a fabulous poem about a young boy who doesn't want to settle down to sleep. The poetry flows beautifully, the pictures are wonderful and there is every opportunity to tell the story in an interesting way, with different characters and story speeds on different pages. One of my favourite books on the planet!
