"The Golden Era of Television"
2 of 2 found this helpful i'll never understand people who pan productions from this era and 'school,' if you will, by complaining about low budget, cheap-looking sets, and the like---of course, "Edward the King" has its share of these minor weak points--it's a video production!--from 1973---and video was still improving by leaps and bounds, practically by the month, back then....but, all that nonsense is less than trivial when held up against the sheer genius of this over-all production...sorry, but i'm not going to go into all the raves about the writing, and casting, and acting, and directing---and the costumes?--my God; they are truly amazing....no; if you want to experience the 'best-of-the-best' simply get your hands on this 4 disc set----you will learn an amazing amount about one of the most fascinating periods of Western Civilization, but won't even be aware of any tedious history lessons, because you'll be totally captivated by one of the best mini-series ever to be seen on the small screen---
