Brought my old stapler back to life
Original Rexel staples so, as you'd expect, they work. I can once again use the stapler that I was given for Christmas in1978! This packet of staples should last me another few decades.

New lamp cover for an old oven
Our cooker's over a decade old (Cannon Henley). The old lamp cover was cracked and I wanted to replace it before it came apart completely, putting crunchy bits in our food and letting the food splatters get into the lamp housing. This part looks quite different, the head of it is much bigger. However, the threaded part is the correct size and it fits fine.
I couldn't quite bring myself to say it's good value. It's a similar size and shape to a jar that might have fish paste in it, which would cost less than a pound and come with free fish paste. I don't know why these parts are so expensive, but this was cheaper than anywhere else, a lot cheaper than a new cooker and much more appealing than swallowing broken glass so I don't really have cause to grumble!

Ideal to rescue a perished floor mat
I used this to reinforce the back of a rubber-backed mat that was perished and crumbling. I gave the mat a couple of coats, a layer of muslin and a final coat. It is now stable and no longer sheds dusty rubber. The latex stinks (possibly of ammonia) until it dries, but that only took a couple of hours. I don't know about the other uses, but I have a couple of hundred ccs left if I feel like experimenting.
