A great idea but not quite big enough.
Looking at the photo I can now see that the panniers underneath are not that full and quite slim. I wanted to use this for two square shaped shopping panniers. It does cover the tops of course but doesn't fit around the whole if the bases to keep them from road splashes. I'm working out whether I can sew on some elastic to ensure a better fit around the bases of the panniers.

Easy to fit
1 of 1 found this helpful I had already bought the Draper set which included the fixing kit and these were extras that I needed. Found them very easy to fit through three layers of waterproof 'Cordura'-type material using the metal punch kit. This is a photo of a few of them on a log store cover which I made out of the spare fabric. The rest were used on a large cover for a hen run.

Good quality, easy to sew.
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought 14m to make a cover for a hen run. With the leftovers I made a cover for a log store. I found sewing the log store (2m x 3.5m), with a doubled over hem easy on a standard sewing machine with a leather needle. With the leather needle it even went through 5 layers at the corners. I used sail makers' adhesive tape on the hems before sewing. I did struggle with sewing the hen run cover - it was to be 2m x 7m so I had to sew a 1/2m wide piece to the standard 1.5m piece it comes in. This was extremely hard on the standard machine - even with a walking foot the weight of the material would pull it out of the sewing plates on occasion. Despite this I was very pleased with the end result. My only wish was that it was specified as sun repellent. I am waiting to see if the colour fades badly next summer.
