Great product, needed new backup battery
Loving the Alphasmart having used it for a while now. Great for writing first drafts without the distractions of a PC or Mac. Fun to watch it type out what you've written when you connect it to a computer (you'll need a USB type-A to type-B cable for this, commonly used for printers).
Only slight problem was that the backup battery needed replacing. The backup battery is what allows the Alphasmart to store your writing when its turned off, its the kind of battery you would put in a watch, I believe its a C2032. This is easy to do if you have a screwdriver, and you can find detailed instructions if you google it. Just make sure you handle the battery properly so you don't short it out and kill the charge. Then Alphasmart to your heart's content!
