There are several reasons to buy one of these.
They are very lightweight and compact and easy to fold away afterwards
The short legs of the Mavic Pro means that on any sort of grass longer than a golf green you stand a chance of wrecking blades on take off and landing, pop this down for a nice flat surface.
Even slightly long grass holds onto water for a surprisingly long time after wet weather and the quad's props can spray water everywhere when low to the ground which is not a good plan with fans sucking in surrounding air to keep all that electronic wizardry cool!
The return to home function works in several ways but fine tuning is achieved by the Mavic storing pictures as it takes off to compare with the landing site when the RTH is enabled. Adding a landing pad which has high contrast against the background will help in getting RTH landings within a few inches of the take off point.
In my experience, when you get one you will wonder why you didn't get one before.

Fit for purpose
Bought this to replace a duff one in an LED camping light. Battery ratings appear to be accurate and the charger is working fine (now I realise the jack pin connector can be pulled off to reveal the two pin connector required to connect the charger to the crocodile clips - doh!).
Good value combination as my original charger was lost and replacing it without a battery from other sellers didn't cost much less than this one with a battery included.
