mainly got this for the two songs, they are good but I found most of the instrumentals pretty boring, no doubt they are more enjoyable when actually watching the film. Promptly resold this on Amazon so no longer have it!

not their best
Although not a great country lover I do like the pop/country crossover stuff that comes out of USA, particularly the female singers like Faith Hill, Martina McBride and Gretchen Peters. I have all of Dixie Chicks albums and I would say this is the most country they have done and so the one I like least, so far anyway. Some good stuff on here but not as strong overall as their others imo. Its also a little too political, enough of the George Bush battering already.

his second best ever?
Although Blonde on Blonde will always be my favourite Dylan album this one comes a close second. It feels a little more disjointed than B-o-B with a couple of, to my mind, fillers i.e. From a Buick 6,Highway 61 itself and Tombstone Blues. However, the rest are magnificent, with Like a Rolling Stone and Desolation Row particularly standing out. Always thought Positively 4th St should have been on it rather than a single only, after all its b side is. I think Dylan was in fine voice on this and Bringing it all back home and Blonde on Blonde. Have had Highway 61 on vinyl since the 60's but decided to upgrade to cd. This remaster is excellent too.
