This camera is a must for the discerning amateur.
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this camera a couple of months ago and the second time I switched it on it failed.
So I looked on the forum. there was a suggestion that I should switch it on and immediately tap the body fairly gently on the side. This I did and the camera has worked faultlessly every time since. My conclusion is that there had been something (dirt) stuck between the mobile part of the lens and the outer cover and the resulting friction was enough for the mechanism to sense there was a problem and shut down.
The camera is a joy to use the size and weight are just perfect for hand held shooting and the various shooting options offer me everything I need.

Relatively cheap but never the less ism still a quality product.
This product is made from quality components and as a result works really well.
