The end for flying biters!

So I tested this last night at my GF’s. For the last two times I’ve been here (lower temperature evenings than last night) I have left with bug bites numbering between 10-20. The next few days at work were horrible (I’m a bus driver, so long periods sat still itching!). Last night the only difference was the Thermacell. Had it on for 3 hours, sat in exactly the same place and I got 1 bug bite. Massive improvement. You can see and smell it working but it’s not overpowering at all. Like a very slight cooking smell rather than an overpowering chemical smell. I think the effectiveness would drop the in windy conditions but then typically so do the number of bugs. The refill packages look generous and well priced if you search around. The unit itself is very sturdy and well built. In true man style I ignored the instructions and was busy trying to lift the grill off to get the pad in. Testament to the build quality that it didn’t break because you actually just slide the pads u see the grill! Over all, would (and have!) recommend to people. Bought for wild camping but will use for general sitting in the garden purposes to. P.S. The guide usage times appear to be accurate so far.
