Necessary
I am a beginner, so I wanted to be accurate with my paint mixing ratios. These cups have more markings on them than you will need, but it is good to know that the ones you need are definitely there. Because I use reading glasses now, I marked mine with a sharpie before I mixed each paint. The cups are durable plastic and won't break when you drop them. They can be cleaned and reused. I cleaned mine with acetone and it didn't touch the factory markings, but it did take my sharpie right off though. Not sure what to do with the lids.
