Quality Build, Nice Features, sadly only manual mode or slave supported.

A Good flash but only as a slave or Manual, great shame as it has many of the features of Manufacturers Dedicated Flash Guns, without the Control. I connected it to my Pentax K-5 Camera and attempted some Pictures, unfortunately it has only one electronic contact which fires the Flash, The camera has no idea the flash is connected so all settings on the flash and the camera have to be entered manually. My old Cobra flash has more automation than this flash, it has 3 pins on the base which tell the camera it is connected and enables aperture and shutter control. I am sure the flash itself could be adapted given the time to modify the electronics. However as it comes out the box only manual mode is supported but can be triggered by a camera's wireless settings as a slave, which makes it a useful add-on. Of course the other advantage it is great value for money!
