Excellent machine, let down only by the instruction book
5 of 7 found this helpful Excellent machine, let down only by the instruction book. OK, it's all obvious after 5 mins but here's a starter:
1) The water container needs water at 60 degrees (max) and detergent - not necessarily to the fill line. A sensible detergent bottle would have some form of measuring dispenser (even just a cap the right size), this one hasn't. The plastic tube in the container needs air not water, so don't worry that it's not submerged - it shouldn't be!
2) Use the little head for most cleaning, the bigger one with the water tank for mopping up spills. Pull the trigger to squirt the water/detergent mix while brushing, tilt forward slightly and don't squeeze for removing as much water as possible afterwards
3) marvel at the amount of brown liquid it brings out of a carpet that you'd already tried to clean several times by hand.
4) Clean well afterwards.
That's about it. Excellent sturdy long power lead, and all the bits clip together really well.
It would have taken the Bissell intern a few minutes to write the above, instead they got the Head of Pictorial Instructions from International Pictorials to spend weeks on it. WHY?

Very good for encouraging smooth driving..
Every time you brake sharply, the holder pings off and sends your phone flying. I'm now driving like a chauffeur. Oh, and avoiding any road with speed bumps. In fact, even sneezing's likely to make it ping off, if you don't cover your mouth.
