An amazing tool for rapid scanning

I have a huge quantity of written primary data, which I have been scanning on both a A3 and A4 scanner for a considerable time (three years). This machine seemed to offer an escape from this. I have found it absolutely excellent, and up to ten times quicker than before, using the foot switch and both hands placing the objects, rather than opening the lids, placing, lowering the lids and going back to the computer to scan using a conventional flatbed. It is neat, and operates perfectly, achieving about 1.3 seconds per A3 sheet. The quality of the image is excellent, and the software really good at outputting in eg Word, Excel, or pdf. The only issue is that from time to time (eg about 100 exposures) it has a tendency to freeze, requiring rebooting. This, however, is very quick, and does not lose previous data, which can immediately be saved to its proper file. I find this machine really great.

A real treat, and always inspirational. [I have now bought two copies, as presents for family members (also photographers).]
