A quality product that could be even better.
This adaptor feels robust and well-engineered, and so it should for the price! It attaches, without tools, to the underside of the Stagepas mixer (and other Yamaha products) and has a standard screw connector suitable for a microphone stand. A downside is that the mixer can't be stowed in the back of the speaker housing with the BMS10A attached. That's a shame because mounting and dismounting it is something you could well do without at every set up.
So a mixed picture; it shouldn't cost anything like it does, and it could be made much easier to use than it is. But it does the job it claims to do.

Smooth...
Fretless basses, particularly those with fret markers (ie lined), always seem to be more expensive than the equivalent fretted instruments, so this Ibanez was very good value. The Walnut Flat finish is a big plus and the whole instrument looks and feels classy.
As fretless basses tend to be on the quiet side, the addition of bass boosting circuitry is a useful feature. The tone, with or without the booster, is warm and full.
The only thing I really would have liked done differently was the choice of string. The BF was supplied with wirewound/roundwound strings. I think flat-wound is a more natural choice for a fretless bass as they naturally give a smoother sound and they are kinder to the fingerboard.
But fitted with a good set of flatwound strings (and a careful setup) this is a delight to play. I recommend it.
