OWC 12 Port Thunderbolt 2 Dock

OWC 12-port Thunderbolt 2 Dock improves performance of devices.

After purchasing an OWC Thunderbolt 2 Dock for a 2015 iMac, I purchased a second dock for a Mac Mini. For me, the dock greatly improves USB throughput of digital audio to external devices, and most importantly ends the bothersome freeze-ups and slow reboots with multiple USB hard disks. The dock is essentially a glitch-free and seamless extension of the computer. The OWC dock occupies one Thunderbolt port on the Mac, leaving you the remaining port on the computer and one open port on the dock with equal performance. The Ethernet ports, HDMI ports, Firewiire 800 and Audio Ports provide lots of additional connectivity, and the high-powered USB charging slots are great for smartphones etc.

1x2 HDMI splitter connects HDCP video sources to my flat screen TV and HD projector without HDCP.

I am using the HDMI 1x2 splitter in the following ways and it works well in each situation: 1. As a splitter to send HD video two HDCP compliant TVs. 2. As a splitter/blocker to connect a non-compliant HD projector along with a newer flat-screen TV. 3. My projector works only with the splitter to block the HDCP signal, so I just started using the 1x2 splitter as an HDCP blocker and my receiver as the HDMI switcher.
