A sound investment
After losing patience with my lousy old Roberts DAB radio, it was time for a change. And the Pure Evoke Domino has exceeded my expectations.
For its size, it sounds good. It's simple to use, pulls in many more stations with much better reception than my previous radio. It's ready for the far superior standard of 'DAB plus' broadcasting. (A few stations, like Magic Chill, are already using DAB+) One of the best features is Bluetooth. Pairing the radio with my Sony Xperia phone, I can listen to mp3 tracks or use the internet to unlock a vast choice of stations from near and far.
When you switch on the radio for the first time, you might be underwhelmed by the audio quality. But take a moment to delve into the settings, and you'll find you can adjust the treble and bass to give a much richer sound.
I would also recommend buying the battery pack, which is sold as an optional extra. It'll allow you to take the radio anywhere. And so far, the battery seems to have a long life. Simply plugging the set back into the mains starts it recharging.
On eBay, this radio was described by the seller as 'manufacturer refurbished', which raised some doubts, especially as it was so much cheaper than the standard shop price. But as far as I can make out, it's a genuinely new product. It was in the original packing. It has no signs of any previous use and has performed perfectly.
This simple but powerful trimmer gives you the flexibility to achieve any look. Batteries seem to last for weeks at a time. For £10, it was excellent value.

A sound buy
Great sound and surprisingly light to wear. Spent ages trying on different headphones at various shops and these were streets ahead of the rest.
