Excellent product for hobbyist creators
I bought this to install in a 1900`s car headlamp that I intended to give to a good friend. It arrived well packaged with other items bought. I installed it and tested it for a couple of weeks it kept time perfectly well.
My opinion is if you spend many hours crafting something to become a time piece then it needs to keep good time this did.
I polished up the old gas headlamp fitted a base and the clock it was ok but at the end of the day it was originally a headlamp so I added behind the clock some remote AAA battery powered LEDs (not from Axminster the results were great and my friend loves the finished item so all good.
Sadly you cannot upload videos but the finished item with the colour changing diffused backlight on the clock looks really cool, sadly you cannot see it.
Doing a second one so will be ordering another clock soon.
By the way ordering to delivery was impressive - fast. well packaged

Better than expected, keeps good time
Ordered this to fit into a project to convert an early carriage lamp into something useful today - a carriage clock. Initially I ordered a clock face and hands and workings, which due to COVID delays disappeared not ordered from Axminster by the way.
Trolled about on EBAY and found clock `inserts` had never heard of them complete self contained clock units you insert into your project.
Ordered it arrived, well packaged very quickly, okay non jewelled non regulated - Chinese origin - I did not expect much installed it kept it running for about a month to record the passing of time and to be honest it was really good kept perfect time.
So I gave it to my friend confident that it would serve them well as a time piece.
