The simple fun of the past with a modern shine.
1 of 1 found this helpful I’m a huge fan of the old NES classics. The simple gameplay and fun pixelated graphics are like comfort food served up on an 8-bit platter.
It’s great that Nintendo was able to take these games and make them fun for the smartphone generation by cutting them up into bite sized, challenging chunks.
The remix portions are cool, seeing familiar games in a different context, but for me the original game sections are just as fun - and by focusing on a few game moves or scenarios at a time, I find I’m getting better at the original games themselves.
I do find that the timing of jumps and moves are little slow from the original NES, which affects things like super Mario Bros, Golf and others. I wouldn’t expect there so be controller lag on a Wii U + flat screen set up, but that’s just what I found using my hardware.
Overall, if you have any nostalgia for early Nintendo or for when video games were simple yet still fun, NES Remix Pack is the perfect combination of past and present.

Wreck-It Ralph toy pack
This is a great little pack, especially if you can get it for cheap on eBay. Understand that there is no "playset" made for Wreck-it Ralph with movie-based adventures, like there is for The Incredibles or Monsters University. Thus the figures are only used in the Infinity Toy Box. Personally I prefer figures that can be used both in the Toy Box and in their own individual play sets, but my kids prefer the Toy Box, where they can continually swap out their figures and power discs while building their own worlds. I was the hero of the day when the Wreck-it Ralph toy pack arrived, which besides including some favorite characters, also allows you to change the look and sound of your Toy Box via the movie-based power discs. The figures are well built and will make an attractive addition to your collection.
