Great saw for the money
1 of 1 found this helpful Running a CNC machine shop, we generally don't buy hobby-grade equipment like what Grizzly is known for. However this saw is meant to be a backup only and will be rarely used, so I didn't want to spend big bucks on it.
I was pleasantly surprised when putting the saw together, that it's much higher quality than I expected. It's not an Amada or even an Ellis, but it is perfectly capable of the small jobs it is intended for. Everything was very easy to get aligned and tuned in.
The one thing I don't like is the stand. If you have to push very hard at all on your material being cut, you'll easily feel the stand flex, making the saw feel spongy. If you're worried about it, a simple brace to the nearest wall, machine, column or whatever you have will alleviate this issue.
