At last. really heavy Bar Ends
Contrary to what most bikers believe, Bar Ends are not there to save the bars when you drop your bike.
They are usually called 'sliders' which is accurate but a bit misleading. Sure your bike will slide just
fine but they are usually quite light, made of alloy and tough plastic.
The main purpose of the Bar Ends is to dampen the vibrations coming through the bars into your hands.
Have you noticed how your fingers tingle after a hard fast ride, gripping the bars tightly to turn your bike this way and that? After a while this nerve irritation, for that is what it is, can be problem.
It's the constant vibration which is the problem. To dampen this you need good heavy Ends, just like these puppies. They are twice the weight of the alloy ones and do the job nicely. Performance bikes will always have this type of really heavy Ends. You should too. Go buy a pair.
