pretty good - no serious complaints
1 of 1 found this helpful This controller works great. I do wish it used a little less power on stand-by, as my region can have many days in a row (in winter) with no sun. I also have a small array system (I overbought for expansion purposes), so part of the low power issues are on me.
I do have it integrated with my inverter and Mate 3.
My only complaint is 1) a little pricey, but you get a TON of options... so you get what you pay for. and 2) I seem to get 10%ish better charge capacity from my midnite charge controller. Meaning the midnite controller is more efficient by a long shot.
NOTE: The midnite controller manages a wind turbine (which the Outback) is not rated for. That might be a "wish" item, as if all items are Outback, then I could use the mate3 to control/manage power better.
