Overpriced techno-bling. Rubbish for communications. Blackberry superior.

My partner and I each have this model, so review is based on experience with both. I moved over from a Blackberry because I need to run Iphone/Ipad only Apps, my partner because her Android smartphone was stolen. By comparison, emails client and communications in general are poor on the Iphone (cw Blackberry) - no proper dedicated service, no simple sorting eg A to Z or by date, sender etc. SMTP server issues, so need to turn off WiFi when out to send, then back on when I get home (friends on other networks have same problem). No UMA (connection to cellphone network via WiFi). Variable 2G and 3G reception - one Iphone is better than the other. Battery life is poor and batery is not-removable. Problems with Adobe Flash based web pages more common than expected, otherwise browsing is a pleasant experience. Music etc encrypted, so cannot easily be copied to other devices. Everything goes via the dreadful Itunes which messes around with settings unless properly configured - not for the technovice! Like a lot of Apple stuff an expensive flash gadget - techno-bling. Looks the part but doesn't deliver. The problem is for some apps there is no alternative. If there had been a Blackbery option for my apps/software, I would have bought a BB Torch as did my son. In case anyone thinks I am anti-Apple, my main computer is a Macbook Pro my first decent Apple computer (out of 3). I would not recommend because of the very bad email issues.
