Generations of fun
You can not beat a classic board game, sure there’s new games made every year but you will probably never revisit them like a classic one. Risk is one of a few that will surely engage all ages of the family (who are above 6 years old) and once your child has grown up they would still enjoy this game.
I was brought up with this being one of my family’s games and now I’ve moved out I had to get the identical one for myself, the premise of this is simple and easy to learn but like chess if you have a member strategically inclined your games will be that much harder and enjoyable. After a while I found my family trying diplomacy to ally themselves against my conquest unfortunately for them they still failed because alliances tend to conflict with each players missions

Nothing about this is ultimate!
There is no Expanded universe content either legends or cannon, with most listed things only having a paragraph if that.
Pages are thinner than standard printer pages with a horrible texture that feels as frail as it looks. The posters are not posters just random on set photographs printed in black and white with film crew and everything you don’t want if you’re getting a book on the lore.
Save your money and buy the actual individual books which are much nicer

You have to look beyond the cover
This book looks like someone on Windows paint resized the whole cover to fit the book size. But after opening it and quickly flicking to random pages it seems loosely compiled with some entries only having a line and others having whole pages yet it is very precise although it be nicer if each era had an entry of what material is set during that time period. Definitely a nice addition to my collection even if I have to redesign and apply a nicer quality cover. And there are no references to the related era’s symbols like “knights of the old republic” is the Sith symbol and “vector” is the Muur talisman or “Legacy” is an adaptation of both republic and new Jedi order symbols.
