LB1128 is a sturdy photographers backgound support, that seems to be built to last.
The Lastolite LB1128 is a sturdy, well made support for wide photo backgrounds. Extends to a good height (>3.5m), and seems stable throughout, although, of course, use with care.
I was recommended this model by a pro-portrait photographer, and use it with material and paper rolls up to 2.9m wide. I'm tall, so assembly on my own is easy, but shorter folk might want to raise the supports in stages, after fitting the cross bar and backgound. I think there is a new version called the Solo, from Lastolite (now Manfrotto), that gets around this.
The air cushioning on the supports is a nice touch, so when released they drop down nice and slow (not sure if all LB1128 models have this). My set came in the original, excellent, tough carry bag that keeps them in good condition and makes transporting easy.
As a general point, however stable the background support, it's always worth tying/bungee the supports to something solid if you can, especially with youngsters around, or at the limit of extension.
