Yes it really does what it claims
Basically, it's brilliant, but it is metallic with sharp edges. However, I imagine a plastic version, as sold by others, couldn't cut as easily. But I am delighted. You'll need a little practice to make sure you are drilling down on the core. But it makes light work of that messy task of attacking from the outside. Even after you have your slices, it's then much easier to scrape out more fruit from the skin, after cutting what's left in half first.

This is hard to rate so I have given benefit of doubt to "recommend, value and quality"
3 of 3 found this helpful We were suspicious of mice coming into our Edinburgh tenement first floor flat. We fitted the 4 devices and we heard mice and saw a mouse, seemingly oblivious to the devices. But please note there was major renovation work going on in the flat upstairs and we confirmed that they were having mouse trouble. We set humane traps after looking on the internet and used a cling film cardboard cylinder half on half off a shelf above a plastic empty dustbin (peanut butter in the end that would tip if the mouse tried to eat). In all 7 mice visited us and were caught (and 6 were released in a nearly park - don't ask). So were the devices a complete waste of time and should we be asking for money back?
We noticed odd behaviour in the mice. One came out into the well lit lounge about 11 p.m. and looked at us - as if hypnotised. It only moved when I was within 1 foot from it with a box to trap it in Later on he succumbed to the trap. Another was found again in bright light less than 1 foot from one of the devices. But it too seemed in a zombie-like status. My flatmate had time to take a photo of it before it ran slowly off. It too was caught out by the trap.
So all the mice were caught and none have reappeared in the flat and the devices are still switched on in the flat. We suspect that the mice were disturbed from their home upstairs and that the devices do affect them. We can still hear mice in the area between our ceiling and the floor above, but there are not entering the flat.
And so, it's up to you now, if you want to try these devices. Hope this helps.
