Big improvement on Canon base
This is a really useful piece of kit that improves on the standard foot supplied with the lens. Canon could learn from this: why doesn't the Canon part fit Arca Swiss quick-release plates (which are pretty much industry-standard) out of the box?
Other useful features lacking in the Canon part are the grippy finger-hold things make it easier to carry lens and camera, and the slot for a strap.
Only (trivial) niggle is that this part lacks the click-detent on the tightening screw that makes the Canon part less likely to wiggle free. But is this really a disadvantage?

Amazing value and very good quality
I bought this bracket to replace a similar £40 Three-Legged-Thing bracket that I had to return to the vendor. The TLT bracket did not fit on the quick release of my Sirui ball-head (despite the fact that both were supposed to be Arca-Swiss compatible.) This one fits perfectly.
Despite its amazingly cheap price, this bracket seems to be well-made, strong, and nicely finished. There are no included instructions, tools or bag, (all of which the TLT bracket has) but you hardly need them. The packaging is a plain brown box.
It clamps securely to the camera and slides smoothly onto my tripod head.
On my EOS 6D the cut-out on the right is big enough that I can open the rubber flaps to access the microphone and other sockets, though I rarely use these.
What's not to like? This bracket is functionally equivalent to one costing £40 or even £100. It's amazing value. I don't usually write reviews, but this was such a bargain that I couldn't resist it!

Good... but with a small but tedious drawback
These lights are great value and work as described but they don’t remember which of the eight modes they were set to when you switch them off. This may sound like a detail, but the default is a migraine-inducing flashing mode. Returning to steady-on for example, involves pressing a button seven times. This is a chore that you repeat each time you power them up.
