Reliable, versatile - and quieter than they used to be.
I bought one of these 5 or 6 years ago. It has worked faultlessly. This one (bought in June 2020) looks the same but runs much quieter when lifting a load and the 'clack' sound when stopping (from the brake applying) is much quieter.
My old one I run with two falls of rope (giving a 250kg capacity) primarily to slow it down. When slower, it is easier to accurately position an engine in a car, for example. It also takes the 'shock' out of the stops and starts.
The new one will be used for lifting shopping between floors, so I will use a single fall of rope to make it quick enough.
The only feature lacking is a soft start.

Quality, versatile clamping system
These are well made, with good surface finishes.
I was concerned whether I would be able to angle these down through the narrow openings near the end of my milling machine's table to get them into the slots. Prior to purchase I took the dimensions of the base and made the same out of a piece of wood, then ground chamfers at the ends until it could be installed. Once satisfied it would work, I purchased the real thing.
Good value? - that is up to the individual.
I am very happy with these clamps.

Quality product
It looks good, with no visual defects. It runs smoothly in my 27000 rpm electric die grinder. It is intended for aluminium and other soft materials, so there cannot be any issue with durability.
