Bargain for admirers of Gounod.
Excellent price for a first rate performance of an unjustly neglected [in terms of frequency of performance] opera.

Not strategic, but a good intoduction to tactics.
I thought that this would be merely an extension of Legion/Chariots of War [both good games] and a slightly poorer version of Spartan/Troy [which I believe Slitherine put out after this]. However, this is a more interesting tactical game with more control over the course of battles. It is not a strategic game, it is purely battle tactics, with some control over troop development and army formation. The initial deployment stage is on a slightly cramped sketch plan, but the graphics for the actual battles are good if slightly crude by the most up-to-date standards. A good introduction to troop handling before tackling the Total War family of games.

Sounds of my youth.
Still have the original vinyl, but awkward now to dig out a turntable and set up so bought a replacement cd. Very pleased, informative booklet and still the great sound. It brought back many memories.
