Works on a wide range of cable sizes.

Nice to have two sizes of rings to cover different size cables (why I bought it), and enough to cover both ends of all. Note the terminals are fixed in the middle of this design, rather than a separate slide-out component.

Easy way to download memory cards on the go.

Compact and easy to carry, very quick to move data on and off my tablet, saves having to carry a laptop to download camera memory cards. It takes full size SD cards, as well as uSD, without an adaptor, which was a key reason to buy it.

Solid piece of hardware.

Machined from solid aluminium with tapped through hole at the top, 6mm clamp screw on the side. The supplied M10 bolt has a non-standard 16mm head and is 50mm long, so it sticks down inside the cap, which is a problem for solid top stands. Swap the bolt for a 20mm standard M10 bolt and these work well for mounting a single light onto a 35mm speaker stand - they are a snug fit onto the stand without relying much on the clamp screw.
