Excellent Lens at an affordable price.
6 of 7 found this helpful I have owned many lenses in my time including the Sigma 70-300mm Apo DG lens that retails at about £120.00. Whilst this was a great lens with excellent colour it never felt particularly nice to use as a lens. I have been toying with many lens choices for some time and then I came across this lens at a reasonable price. Having now used it on my canon 5D I love it! It's really sharp and even at F4 the background is nicely blurred for portrait shots and I've even had some really good indoor shots both with & without flash - HANDHELD! If you're looking for a good lens for a good price then this is the one for you!

A craking camera and now so affordable
There's so many cameras out at the moment it's a bit of a minefield if you don't know what you're looking for. As a wedding photographer my main camera is a Canon 5D and I used to have the canon 30D as a backup. The main reason was that the cameras were very similar in terms of menu etc but another very good reason was the choice of ISO settings. The 350D/400D/450D/100D etc are all great little cameras but the ISO settings are very limited (100/200/400/800/1600). SO in low light you're stuck with either 800 or 1600 and nothing in between or higher. The 30D and 40D have a much wider choice giving you better results in low light - but the 40D has a much faster fps rate than the 30D and somehow seems nicer to use. For my money - it's currently the 40D every time if you've got around £400.00 to spend and ebay is the place to get one!
