Review of BlackBerry Curve 8900 from an iPhone user
Nice phone, excellent screen, speaker and ringtone volume nice and loud (the #1 reason I don't get on with my iPhone 2G).
Needs a "Blackberry dataplan", as most things don't work without it even if you have an active WiFi connection. However with one of these plan addons added, everything bursts into life and all is good.
#1 negative aspect is complete lack of proper email. You can't simply connect to your own email server, you have to either register and use a blackberry email address, but "BES" for thousands of pounds or run B Desktop Redirector which as far as I know only works with an MS Exchange server.
Apart from email its got everything I want. Having real keyboard is great as I'm a big SMS user.
