Multiplex self-adhesive Hook and Loop Tape - strong grip but pulls appart when necessary
Multiplex Hook and loop tape is produced by Multiplex Modellsport GmbH and is usually used to secure RC accessories such as RC batteries, RC receivers etc in radio control models such as model aircraft, boats, helicopters and drones.
It is my preferred choice in this application because the tape is very strong and durable and has very strong adhesive on both hook and loop sides to ensure that heavier items, such as motor batteries, remain firmly fixed in the airframe or hull. This hook and loop tape can be brought together and then pulled apart lots of times without losing its strong grip which is a definite advantage in radio control applications where batteries are being constantly removed and replaced for charging.
Adverts usually show the product as being black, but in the fifteen years I've been using it, it has always been red.
Buying it in a single length of 1m is very convenient as it can be cut off to the precise length you need, and it works out cheaper than buying Multiplex's smaller packets of 6 precut lengths of identical hook and loop tape.

Gerberit Type 380 Filling Valve
I needed a replacement Gerberit 380 filling valve when very heavy limescale deposits over a 10 year period stopped the float from rising properly and shutting the valve off. Not surprisingly, this was identical to the one I wanted to change and replacement took only a few minutes to fit and it worked perfectly.

Devcon 2 Ton Epoxy
This is a good quality, general purpose, epoxy adhesive. It is easy to get equal measures of the two part adhesive, so the reliability of the adhesive when it is thoroughly mixed is generally better than epoxy using two separate tubes. When it has fully set, I have found that this epoxy is much harder and more brittle than some other epoxy glues so care is needed as to where it is used. It works well gluing wood to wood metal to metal and wood to metal (if everything is very clean and grease/dust free. The only problem I have had with this glue is that when you first use it the first few grams of the white glue component is very gritty and the strength of the glue is not so good. However, when the white glue component runs nice and smooth, it works extremely well.
