Great with both Windows and Linux
I bought this to replace my CanoScan LiDE 90 which doesn't have Linux support, either from Canon or SANE.
From within Windows it's just as good, perhaps slightly faster than my LiDE 90 (I don't have any need of the higher scanning resolution available) and works perfectly with my usual OCR and graphics programs. It may be my imagination but OCR recognition accuracy seems to have improved, even though I'm still using the exact same resolution as previous.
Best bit though is the Linux support via SANE so - at last (yay!) - I can now scan from within Linux Mint Cinnamon and Xcfe using Simple Scan or the, IMO, much better XSane.
Great value and I'm so pleased with the new functionality.

Excellent USB3 adapter casing
This is the second of these adapters that I've bought after being the lucky recipient of 2 Dell laptops with failed mainboards.
I removed the laptop's mSATA SSD and mounted it in the adapter. There's no instructions but the process is obvious, i.e. remove the adapter's fascia plate (with the provided screwdriver... a nice touch), mount and secure the SSD then replace the fascia plate.
It took just a few minutes and I now have the fastest and most convenient solid state USB3 portable drives ever. I'm *really* pleased with the adapters.
