Unparalleled Mozart recordings
This set primarily focuses on Eugen Jochum's recordings of Mozart's of four Mozart symphonies (K319, K385, K425 and K504) with the Bamberg Symphony. (The photo of Gunther Wand on the cover is misleading, because he only conducts the six German Dances.) To my mind, Jochum is unparalleled in Mozart, and his recordings of the last six symphonies (the last three are available on a 2-CD set from Orfeo, along with the Masonic Funeral Music) are among the best ever made.
