Book This While You Can!!!
One of the longest running police series in the history of television. Hawaii Five-0 is one great ride for the viewer. Filmed in Hawaii and starring the imperturbable Jack Lord the Five-0 crew gave as good as they got for twelve action packed seasons. From that opening theme song (which you'll never get out of your head!!) to the end credits it was a class act all the way and audiences loved it. Admittedly it slowed down the last few seasons but series this long always do. Die hard fans like me loved it all the way through and I'm now enjoying watching it again for the first time in (never mind...you don't need to know how many years!!) a long time. I picked it up for $125.00 here on Ebay with free shipping and that my friend is a bargain indeed. I highly recommend it as the shows are excellent transfers and look and sound great on my 4K upscaling TV. If you remember it or are going to be seeing it for the first time you can't go wrong with McGarrett and Crew. Running from 1968 to 1980 they hosted almost all the actors working in that era as guest stars. James MacArthur (Helen Hayes' son) is featured as a regular for instance. I'd buy it while you can.

Best I've Seen
1 of 1 found this helpful Buster & Billie, 1974 is one of those movies that fell through the cracks and is almost impossible to find. This DVD version is of moderate quality but watchable. It's better than a VHS copy but the picture is not bad enough to call it junk.
I'm glad to have the movie in a form that's watchable and not blurry or filled with flaws.
It's a good story and I grew up in that area of the country so I relate to the type of young people portrayed in this all too typical tragedy. It was another place and time and another set of values prevailed.
Jan-Michael Vincent is outstanding as is Robert Englund as his devoted (in more ways than one I suspect - also typical of the time) friend. Joan Goodfellow is heartbreaking as the from the wrong side of the tracks.
I give this version 3 Stars and I doubt you'll find better anywhere else. I've looked for over fifteen years.

Riddles Wrapped In Mysteries Hidden Inside Enigmas! (paraphrasing Churchill)
1 of 1 found this helpful One of the most enigmatic series ever done. Slowly but surely peeling away layer after layer of lies, deceit, and skullduggery all in the name of Einstein and space time but surely one of the most engaging television events of all time.
The characters are drawn with care and the beginning is one of the hallmarks of television writing and the fact that the quality is consistently kept up for the whole six years is amazing. Only Rod Serling and the Twilight Zone can compare, with the big difference being that Twilight Zone stories were stand alone episodes and Lost is a serialized story stretching out over six seasons.
A plane crashes, people are stranded on an island, and at first only survival matters, then things begin to happen.
I wouldn't spoil the fun of enjoying this from the very beginning without hint of further developments so I won't go into the story itself.
Let me address the set itself. The quality of the show on blu-ray is stunning. The prices on Ebay for the whole series in blu-ray (the only way to go to see and hear it right) are a steal. So find yourself a reputable seller and shell out a few bucks for one of the most haunting television experiences ever.
