Pronomic 7 drum mic set.
I needed a drum mic set in a hurry, and had limited funds, so took a chance with these. They arrived well ahead of the projected date, were well packed, and performed much better than many others costing considerably more. The overheads are back condenser mics requiring 48v phantom power, the others are all dynamics. On use they proved themselves to be robust, easy to use ( they were fed into a mixer, which in turn was fed into a pa as a single feed) and unlike many others, did not need much adjustment with the equipment to get the sound right. A very good purchase.

Stagg DX 20" ride cymbal
I bought this as a stop gap, and although it isn't the best I've ever had, it plays reasonably well with a controllable wash and a reasonable bell. Not really suitable for jazz, it is fairly good for rock, although being fairly dark with a lot of overtones, the stick definition could be better ( although for the price it is excellent)!

Nikon Coolpix S7000
This camera was purchased refurbished as a gift for my partner, and she loves it. It is well made, looks good, takes great pictures ( the camera is more capable than she is !), and has a specification that leaves all others in its price range at the moment standing.
