A good story
It is a film that i first saw at the Odeon picture house back in my teenage years with my elder brother sixty years ago. i thought i would like to see it again. I wasn't disappointed
It is a good story of an officer tasked with ensuring that 5 men recommended for the medal of honour are escorted to a safe location located in Cordura. There are many disagreements amongst the men themselves, about the trust in the officer leading them back to safely in Cordura. Evenually, the officer proves his worth to the men that doubted him
Where the woman riding along with them fits in the story, i don't really know. but one can guess the tension between 5 men and only 1 woman around them. But it must be said that her presence makes the story more interesting to create a bond between herself and the officer leading them.

A superb product, it brings back memories of the steam age on the railways.
This Product was made by Triang in the early 1960's. It is in excellent condition, and i am very pleased with it.
It is now running around on my model railway. Thank you.

A real life story, but gripping.
It is a real life story of the dangerous world that SOE agents operated in. Ordinary people from all walks of life that were turned into spies or SOE agents to be thrown into the occupied countries, simply because they had the gift of being able to speak the language of the country in which they were chosen to serve.
It takes unspeakable courage for a man or woman to serve their country undercover. Many did not return home to their families, but found a grave in a foreign field. This film reminds us of those who served and helped to give us the freedom that we enjoy today.
