Great movie; very intense.

Great flick! The film has a few rough edges perhaps, but overall very possibly Nicolas Cage's best performance to date, as his character struggles to figure out the mystery of a 50-year-old time capsule list of disaster predictions, and is finally forced to make some very tough choices at the climax. Very intense (and even a little disturbing at times), with excellent scoring, intense disaster scenes, and great special effects. This is definitely not your average "cookie-cutter", formulaic, hollywood fodder/tripe, with an obvious effort made to render this story as close to reality as possible ("raw" hand-held camera shots, extended 3-minute long single shot during the first disaster, etc.). Don't watch this if you have a weak heart (or with little kids). It will make you think about what really matters in life. Thank you Mr. Cage.

Worst documentary ever.

Absoluetly awful documentary. How anyone take such an interesting topic, rich in material, and from that produce such a profoundly awful work is incomprehensible. A group of 6th graders armed with a video camera and grade school history book could have done a better job.

Great Flick!

I loved this movie. Not your typical cookie-cutter, formulaic piece, and maybe a little quirky in spots, but great flick. Loved how they interwove the adventures of the boy's uncles lives during their earlier years. Made for a very engaging story. Too bad there aren't more flicks out there like this.
