excellent value - very professional
1 of 1 found this helpful easily as good as sennheiser kit (which i also own), and in many ways simpler to use. so far never any interference, whereas have occasionally had some with sennheiser! very nice sound etc.
only downside is that the units are a little larger and with the battery feel surprisingly bulky compared to the slim metal sennheiser's, but then this is a lot cheaper, so very impressive at price point

Lumix GF1 - little camera with big intentions
3 of 3 found this helpful I wanted to move up from a compact to a DSLR and start learning more about pro photgraphy. however, I hate walking around with a 'big' camera like the EOS and Nikon's etc, so after a lot of research I decided to get the GF1.
I've only had it a few days but I'm loving it already. For the price of an EOS 550 with an OK lens, I got myself the GF1 and the zoom 14-140 lens, and the combination will let me take a versatile set of shots, and still remains relatively compact and light.
this lens seems excellent, with full image stabilisation and fab zoom, and the camera works very fast with superb auto-focus and burst mode, so it really feels like a pro camera. the auto modes work very well, but i am already learning how to use the full manual capabilities to enhance my shots and get creative.
i'm looking for vid tutorials or thinking of getting a couple of lessons to start making the most of this camera, and i think i will grow with it for a long time before getting frustrated for something better, by which time the technology may have moved forward again and i'll still be able to go for light and small but with pro results.
if you're looking for the highest pro quality, then maybe you have to go for the size and expense of a larger camera, but this is really not at all far off that quality for the hobbyist and it comes in such a smaller profile. exactly what i needed.
it might be the right camera for you if your priorities are the same as mine. i'd urge you to do what i did though and reseacrh a lot online, and also go and feel the various options in your hands at camera shops before you make a final decision.

long-lasting battery
more than 2 hours filming on GH4. obv don't know how long it will last but these new batteries seem reasonably priced compared to panasonic versions and are certainly performing extremely weel while new.
