  Box was sealed and the cooker was definately new as described by the seller. However, when opened we discovered that it was defective with the top panel cracked off from the main device. Probably damaged during shipping(?) or in manufacturing process(?)... Other than this, it looks to be pristine. I'm giving this a 5 star even though item was bad because the seller was super responsive and offered a refund immediately to us. I don't think they knew about this and we are all caught by a lemon.
