Extremely pleased with my choice.
An excellent product, very well made and finished. It does everything exactly as it says in the product description. I bought this in order to digitise a number of very old 35mm transparencies.
Although this light box is a little dearer than comparable others, it has the distinct advantage of being able to operate under its own battery power with or without the generous length of USB cable plugged into either the mains or a PC/laptop USB socket. This feature makes it really versatile. Another reason for my choice is that the light temperature and CRI factor are precise.
To exclude unwanted reflected light I find that a black cardboard mat with a transparency-sized hole does the trick. A 30mm high rectangular tube, of slightly larger dimensions than the transparency, made from the same material is an effective addition to exclude any reflected light from the sides. I have yet to attempt making digital copies of 35mm negatives, but my approach will be similar.
