Timer works
The timed irrigation works and is quite easy to programme and to fit. Unfortunately there is a significant pressure drop through this device so, when the valve opens, the sprinkler covers less than half the area that it did when connected directly to the tap. It seems as if the valve only partially opens, restricting the flow. At first I thought it might be just because it was new, but after 2 weeks use it hasn't improved so it looks like a design limitation. Pity really as everything else about the device is good.

Specialist part
Hard to find these days, but really the only part that wears out on an otherwise reliable boiler.
