1 of 1 found this helpful This book is exactly right for someone who wants to become a ham radio operator. This book does two things. It is a self study course that will allow you to pass the Technician level FCC test. It is also a general introduction to all of ham radio, covering the highlights of all that can be done in amateur radio. It has just the right level of sophistication to give a good understanding of all facets of amateur radio but does not get into such extreme detail that it is overwhelming. The technical level is just right as well.
The book is also an excellent source for reference. The complete question set for the Technician's exam is presented with references to page numbers explaining the answers. Other books focus on "memorizing" the test questions. This book promotes understanding the subject matter while studying for the exam. Must have book for all preparing for the Amateur Technician's License Exam.

not for heavy people
Item is well built but smaller than regular Captains/Director's chair - very light weight. I would NOT try the 250 lb weight limit or a tall person with this chair
