Things to look out for
10 of 11 found this helpful I have wanted one of these kits for quite some time and finally got up enough nerve to pull the trigger. I was excited when it showed up on my porch just a few days later. Upon opening the box, it was quite evident that some of the parts and hardware were clearly sub standard. I made a list and went to the hardware store to get replacement nuts, bolts and washers. I pulled the side cover off only to see the edge of the larger pulley rubbing on the clutch bell. The pulley is not square to the hole in the pulley and it therefore wobbles. VAlso the hole that was machined for the jackshaft bearings was too large for the bearing allowing the shaft and sprocket to wander and jerk around. Since the rear pulley is not in alignment with the output shaft, the front edge of the jackshaft bearing carrier had to be spaced away from the aluminum
Plate by .030". It'll get it figured out probably but it has been a disappointing journey so far. Lots of disappointment in such a small
